We will have more information about registration as we get closer to the event.

The 2026 CRS Annual Meeting took place on April 17-19, 2026 at the Hotel X Toronto in Toronto, Ontario.

Information pertaining to our 2026 Annual Meeting, including our faculty, programing, and sponsors, will remain available on this website for review until late 2026, after which it will be replaced by information about our upcoming 2027 Annual Meeting in Montreal, Quebec.

Introduction

Our annual scientific meeting is the highlight of our society’s continuing professional development (CPD) program. It offers an unparalleled opportunity for Canadian ophthalmologists and trainees to immerse themselves in three days of high-yield presentations and panel discussions dedicated to the latest advancements in our field. This year’s meeting will be held April 17-19 in Toronto, Ontario, where we will gather with a faculty of nationally and internationally renowned experts who will lead our discussion and debate of the hottest topics in medical and surgical retina. Learning Objectives

At the end of the 2026 CRS Annual Meeting, participants will be able to:

Review current advances in the medical management of retinal diseases, including emerging pharmacologic therapies and evolving treatment strategies for age-related macular degeneration, diabetic macular edema, and retinal vein occlusion

Interpret advanced retinal imaging and clinical biomarkers to enhance diagnostic accuracy, disease monitoring, and therapeutic decision-making

Discuss contemporary surgical techniques and clinical decision-making in vitreoretinal surgery, including management strategies for retinal detachment, macular holes, and complex vitreoretinal conditions

Evaluate emerging technologies and innovations including artificial intelligence, gene therapy, and novel therapeutic platforms that may influence future clinical retina practice
